KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 14): China property developer Country Garden and Malaysian developer Perdana ParkCity have officially unveiled the master plan for a joint development Lake City @ KL North at an event here today.
Located in Taman Wahyu, near Kepong in Kuala Lumpur, Lake City @ KL North will be an 80-acre project that includes a hotel, office, park, shopping mall, connectivity and apartment community (HOPSCA) and transit-oriented development (TOD) to be undertaken by Country Garden Malaysia and Perdana ParkCity, the developer of Desa ParkCity in Kuala Lumpur.
“HOPSCA projects essentially create the ideal habitat model and address the needs of homeowners who are looking for inter-connectivity to its surrounding areas. Sitting on 80 acres of prime land, Lake City @ KL North will be able to increase economic activities to create new jobs, ease sustainability and transportation issues, establish landmarks for the city, and create synergistic communities,” said Country Garden Malaysia regional president Jason Fu in his welcome speech at the event.
He added that properties in KL North saw strong price appreciation largely due to the upcoming mass rapid transit or MRT 2 line.
“More specifically with seven out of the 26 proposed MRT 2 stations slated to be within the vicinity, urban transformation efforts will be put into place as the need for more residences and updated infrastructure start to surface,” said Fu.
The development is also well connected by several highways such as the Damansara – Puchong Highway, the DUKE Highway and the Middle Ring Road 2.
While details of the project have yet to be finalised, Fu said Lake City @ KL North seeks to further redefine the benchmark of quality living for its residents as it will offer communal and lifestyle elements featuring a 2km Lake Promenade, a Lake Club, a Smart Community app and community areas.
